Gratitude Month

November is traditionally Gratitude Month in A.A.

In Santa Clarita during the month of November a special collection (separate from the normal 7th tradition) is made during each meeting. This money is sent to Central Office. This money is used to support the services of the Santa Clarita Valley Central Office of Alcoholics Anonymous.
This is the only time of the year that Central Office asks for help.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make an announcement at your home group and meeting you attend.
During the pandemic, Gratitude Month Contributions can be given by:

WHAT IS A CENTRAL OFFICE?

“A central office (or intergroup) is an A.A. service office that involves partnership among groups in a community—just as A.A. groups themselves are partnerships of individuals. A central office is established to carry out certain functions common to all the groups—functions which are best handled by a centralized office—and it is usually maintained, supervised, and supported by these groups in their general interest. It exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers.”
